Canon Canonet 28

One of the best cameras to carry with you all the time, the Canon Canonet 28 is a very stylish rangefinder 35mm auto-exposure camera that produces great sharp images with no much effort.

Ok, there are plenty 35mm cameras in the market you could just throw in your bag and forget about it... let's say that the LCA, Smena or the Olympus Pen are great light pocket cameras and would do the job quicker, but I guess there are times when you want more control instead of just a "point and shot"camera, the Canonet may be a reasonable cheap option that stays in between an SLR and a point and shot.

All you have to do is focus using the bright rangefinder and you're done, the camera auto-exposure will select a speed between 1/30 to 1/600. Through the viewfinder you can see the needle going up and down accordingly with the light condition and if there's not sufficient light the shutter won't fire. no to forget that you still have the manual option to select different apertures (no manual speed on this model) in case you want even more control (when the apperture mode is selected the shutter it's automatically set to 1/30).

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I found yours by doing a search about Petzval/Magic Lantern lenses. What a great blog you have, too!

Hi.
I have this camera too. Great rangefinder. Although, i usually find it difficult to use in lowlight situations, but that last picture of yours seems pretty good despite the low light. At what speed did you take that?
